The first thing you will probably want to ask is: where’s the bar? Well, we’re not really that type of public house, we are in fact a provider of adult education or life-long learning, here to run courses that don’t lead to a qualification as such, but more an engagement with new subjects at your pace. We offer languages, arts, creative writing and so much more.
Our drive has been to make our courses affordable and also attract the best tutors through a professional pay scale that reflects their expertise and experience.
So why The Public House? As part of our mission, we aim to place 10% of our profits into free community courses for a diverse range of groups, from Women’s Refuge, to refugees and young carers, we want to invest education within our wider community and offer something truly public which benefits Norwich and Norfolk.
In addition, we will run affordable English Language courses for speakers of other languages, giving them the chance to get on, whether that’s towards British Citizenship or IELTS.
All of our courses cost £96 for eight two hour sessions, that’s £12 per week. Check out what we have on offer at our courses page.
