Creative Writing Workshopping (Online Saturday Mornings)
CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOPS
With Dr Andrew McDonnell FEA
This 12 week course offers students the space to peer-review work by other students and in turn have their own work critiqued. Led by professional lecturer and published author, Andrew McDonnell, the course is limited to nine spaces to ensure that each student has four turns per term. The course is online via Zoom and each term is 12 weeks in total.
Students send their work in advance and then read their work at the start of their feedback session. Questions are then raised by the group such as:
- What did the piece make you feel?
- What would you praise about the writing?
- Did anything feel ambiguous or confusing?
- Does pacing etc work?
- Is the point-of-view / tense etc consistent
In addtion, questions on wider craft will be answered by the tutor and / or students.
