This course is designed for beginners who want to have fun with art without worrying about being technically skilled. Over the duration of the course, we will approach a range of subjects through a mixture of mediums and a variety of techniques.
Italian Beginners gives you the chance to learn how to use the right language in the right context; you will get to grips with the building blocks of the Italian language and start to speak with ease and confidence in basic situations.
Spanish (Beginners) – Term 1
The course is suitable for anyone with an interest in the Spanish language and culture – no prior knowledge is required. By the end of the course, the students will be able to formulate simple sentences, to understand simple written passages and to follow a short spoken conversation.
Exploring Colour (WED EVE)
This course enables participants to develop a greater understanding of colour, its different aspects, relationships between colours, and the effects of colours in terms of harmony, expression and cultural significance.
Introduction to Creative Writing – (WED EVE)
What makes a good piece of writing and what does it take to be a writer? This is a course designed to introduce you to different forms of writing — non fiction, fiction and poetry — as a way to help you explore new techniques and approaches.
Introduction to Drawing (THU DAY)
Drawing uses very simple means – a drawing implement, or material and a surface, but it can be very engrossing and immensely rewarding. It can help you to see the world around you with greater understanding and appreciation.
Greek for Beginners
This is for you if you have no prior knowledge of Modern Greek (or so little that you effectively want to start again from scratch).
